さくらまやの大漁まつり！ Maya Sakura's Tairyou Matsuri
This studio work is a drawing of the very young Enka singer Maya Sakura. Enka music is a popular form of Japanese style singing. Right now her most famous song is "Tairyou Matsuri" which is about the celebration after the fishermen have a really big catch. I did the drawings in pen and ink then added the colors digitally using Photoshop Essentials. I made the back ground with vector graphics using the program PaintShopPro and then imported it into Photoshop for the finished product.

I was so impressed by the child singing that I listened to the song over a hundred times! I wished I had the lyrics and got them too - although with some blanks. Still...THANK YOU! And I wish her all the BEST in future.
I have heard some Indian folk songs (like this one) called Janapada Geeta. Very similar and exciting.
